The Samsung Pixon is the first touchscreen phone to sport an 8-megapixel camera in additional to all the high-end photography features normally found only on cameras. These high-end photographic features on the Pixon include blink and face detection, ARS (Advance Shake Reduction), a WDR (wide dynamic color range) and image stabilization. Samsung Pixon also captures sharp videos at 720×480 (DVD-quality) at full speed.

Samsung Pixon measures only 13.8mm thin, yet it still packs other features like SRS (surround sound system) Virtual 5.1CH, 16x zoom, dual power LED flash, microSD card slot, a 3.2-inch touch screen with accelerometer for tilt-sensitive functions, FM radio and GPS for navigation.

The price of the Samsung Pixon I yet to be determined, but we’ll know soon enough when it arrives in Russia shortly. The Pixon does have a quad-band GSM and tri-band 3G over HSDPA, which means there might be support for North American carriers down the road.
